New office space for Zebralog in Berlin

Zebralog Berlin has moved

Today, we have moved to "Silicon Alley", which is how Chausseestraße was called before the dotcom bubble bursted in 2000. We're excited to start the new year in more beautiful, bigger and more centrally located spaces. Our new address is: Chausseestraße 8, Staircase E, 10115 Berlin, Germany.

Call for Ideas Berlin Tempelhof Airport-Building 29.09.2008 - 05.01.2009

The Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development cordially invites to submit ideas for an alternative use of the terminal building at Berlin-Tempelhof. The online public dialogue on the whole airfield, which was held last year, is now being followed by a call for ideas for the building.

The Senate Department for Urban Development wishes to attract national and international partners and investors with specific ideas for projects and capital investments. The future use of the airport terminal requires strategies and plans that will prove economically viable and sustainable in the long term.

The aim is to produce a utilization concept for Tempelhof for people interested in a limited interim use and for investors seeking a long-term alternative use of the airport building that has a clear "market" focus. Up to 5 January 2009 you can enter your investment proposals for Berlin here: capital, time, ideas and networks in equal measure.

The airport building, which enjoys heritage status, is of crucial importance for future developments. One of the largest building complexes in the world, its size and ground plan open up a whole range of opportunities that can serve as a basis for your project and investment ideas. One idea is to set up a "Tempelhof Forum THF" as an international centre for the culture, media and creative industries. An "anchor function" of this kind would not only result in occupation of key parts of the terminal; it would also pave the way for a variety of synergies for the building and its surroundings.

Prior to the drawing up of a market-oriented development strategy, an opportunity is being provided to explore other possible uses and to test their viability in economic, town planning and functional terms. Old hotel rooms, offices, the departure lounge, not to mention the spacious hangars, storage and workshop rooms, await a new destiny.

Whether you are a private individual or institution, civil society initiative or investor, your projects are wanted:
